  1. I hope it goes to someone who loves it. Pretty place. It could make a great library, meeting center or even a home.

      I’ve never been inside this church, but it definitely looks good from the outside. I’m nor sure who finally got it, but I agree it could still be a valuable asset to the community. Brookfield’s new main public library is a block away.

  2. Some might feel sad about a church being auctioned, but it may be a sign that people are moving past the need to have an organized religion tell them how to “be” in life. Maybe they are coming up with it all by themselves!

      That would definitely be nice Mimi, but I think as a society we’re losing our moral compass and although organized religion is often full of it’s own self serving misdirections churches do generally provide a positive community focal point where people are encouraged to develop polite mannerisms and attitudes and in that I feel they are last vestige that does so…
